Solo Performance/Storytelling Workshops
Jul 2nd, 2008 by Joya
Do you have a story to tell? This is a course in creative process, technique and form, enabling you to develop your original material and shape it into an artful performance piece. We work with improvisation, writing exercises, movement and vocal skills, and acting technique to free your own vision. All levels of experience welcome.
Joya created her solo pieces, MY FATHER’S CHAIR, IRMA AT THE MOVIES, BILE, ANNIVERSARY WALTZ, & THE DALAI LAMA DOESN’T NEED A FACE LIFT through an experimental process based on improvisational story telling to generate material- and writing and acting technique to develop a well crafted, scripted piece.
